Our History
Our owner, Ms. Bonnie Allen, has dedicated her life to improving education and child care and positively influences the lives of countless children at the beach. In 2009, Beaches Academy was voted "The Beaches Favorite Child Care Center" for the fifth consecutive year in an annual poll conducted by The Beaches Leader newspaper.
- Beaches Academy Provides:
- Full-time, drop-in, daily and hourly child care (infants to 5 years); Part-time child care also available
- Before/after school-age program, including drop-off and pick-up from four local schools (ages 5-12, kindergarten to 5th grade)
- Nutritionally balanced meals and snacks that meet USDA nutritional guidelines
- Physical activity in three large, well-equipped, age-appropriate playgrounds
- State-funded, voluntary pre-kindergarten program (4-year-olds attend 9am-12pm, M-F)
- Outstanding teachers with Child Development Associate (CDA) credentials
- Strong parent/teacher partnerships
- Low staff-to-child ratios
- Winter, spring and summer break enrichment programs
- Basic introductory computer skills
